Vice President, Investment Banking - TMT

The Investment Banking division provides comprehensive corporate and investment banking coverage across the U.S. and Canada, offering clients integrated advisory, capital markets, and financing solutions. The team partners closely with leading corporations, financial sponsors, and institutional clients to deliver strategic insights, capital markets execution, and tailored financing structures.
About the Role
Vice President in the TMT (semiconductors, electronics, and hardware) Investment Banking team serve as key leaders in the origination, structuring, and execution of M&A, capital markets, and financing transactions. As a VP, you will guide deal processes, oversee analytical workstreams, manage junior team members, and contribute to the strategic direction of client engagements.
Key Responsibilities
Deal Execution & Transaction Leadership
• Lead day‑to‑day execution of M&A, leveraged finance, equity and debt capital markets, and strategic advisory assignments within the TMT sector (semiconductors, electronics, and hardware).
• Manage complex financial analyses, valuation exercises, due diligence processes, and transaction documentation.
• Evaluate transaction structures, risk-return profiles, and financing alternatives for clients across high‑growth and mature TMT sub‑sectors (semiconductors, electronics, and hardware).
• Oversee preparation of client deliverables, including strategic reviews, fairness analyses, board materials, and financing documents.
Client Relationship Development
• Partner with senior bankers to deepen existing client relationships and support new business development efforts.
• Attend client meetings, contribute to strategic discussions, and present analyses and recommendations with clarity and confidence.
• Coordinate with product partners across capital markets, risk management, and specialized industry verticals to originate and execute cross‑platform solutions.
Internal Leadership & Team Management
• Manage Analysts and Associates, overseeing workstreams, providing feedback, and ensuring analytical accuracy and quality.
• Drive idea generation and pitch development by collaborating across groups including sector coverage, leveraged finance, equity capital markets, and syndicate.
• Uphold and reinforce a collaborative team culture grounded in excellence, intellectual curiosity, and accountability.
Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree required; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
• Minimum 6-8 years of experience in investment banking, with significant exposure to TMT transactions (semiconductors, hardware, and electronics).
• Deep knowledge of corporate finance, valuation methodologies, capital markets, and transaction structuring.
• Demonstrated ability to lead deal processes and manage multiple high‑intensity workstreams simultaneously.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to present complex concepts to senior executives.
• Proven track record of originating or contributing to new client opportunities.
• Intellectual curiosity, creativity, and a commitment to staying ahead of industry trends.
